The best day to travel, by your chart
There is a better week for it. And it’s yours, not everyone’s.
An almanac says: “Never book a flight during Mercury retrograde.”
Kalendom says: “That’s folklore with a grain in it. Mercury retrograde is a small malus in our rulebook, not a veto—your own travel window is a specific combination of transits to your chart.”
Your best travel days, scored from your own birth chart—with the exact transits behind every score.

What our astrology engine watches for this
Travel splits across two houses: the 9th for long journeys and the 3rd for short ones. Our astrology engine weighs transiting Mercury, Jupiter and the Moon against both—a supportive Mercury reads as a smoother day to be in transit, and a hard one as a day to leave more margin.
Key transiting planets
- Sun
- Moon
- Mars
- Saturn
- Mercury
Houses that matter
- 1st house — vitality & the physical self
- 6th house — routines, rest & wellbeing
- 10th house — career & public standing
Example: a strong day for this might be driven by transiting Jupiter sextile your natal Mercury—our astrology engine shows you exactly that, in plain language, for every day it scores.

Best day to travel—FAQ
- Can astrology pick a good day to travel?
- It shows where your own timing leans for journeys, not whether a flight will be delayed. The booking is yours; the tool scores the day against your chart and says which transit is behind it.
- How is this different from a Mercury-retrograde list?
- A retrograde list is one calendar for everybody. Our rulebook does apply a small retrograde malus, but the score comes from real transits to your own placements—so your good travel days are yours.
- Can I check a past trip for free?
- Yes. Backtesting any past date is free, so you can score a journey you already took before you trust the forecast forward.
The method
We read four hundred years of astrology so you don’t have to.
Of everything astrology contains, one tradition exists to answer a single question: when. The Kalendom engine encodes that tradition whole—four centuries of transit doctrine, rule by rule, source by source—and turns it into something anyone can read: a 0–100 score for love, money, work and energy, every single day.
