The best day to start something new, by your natal chart

Astrology can help you identify a lucky day to start something new, but only if it’s precise and personal—and that’s what Kalendom does best.

An almanac says: “Start anything you want to grow on the new Moon.”

Kalendom says: “That’s folklore, not precision. The new Moon is real astronomy—but it arrives for everyone at once, and your own opening is a specific combination of transits to your chart.”

Your best days to begin something, scored from your own birth chart—with the exact transits behind every score.

What our astrology engine watches for this

A beginning is a 1st-house matter—you, and the push behind you. Our astrology engine weighs transiting Moon, Sun and Mars against your 1st house and your natal Sun—a supportive contact reads as a day with momentum behind a start, while a hard Saturn contact points to one better spent preparing.

Key transiting planets

  • Sun
  • Moon
  • Mars
  • Saturn
  • Mercury

Houses that matter

Example: a strong day for this might be driven by transiting Jupiter trine your natal Sun—our astrology engine shows you exactly that, in plain language, for every day it scores.

Best day to start something new—FAQ

Is there really a best day to start something new?
There are days when your own chart is better supported for a beginning, and days better spent laying groundwork. Our astrology engine scores each day from your birth chart and names the transit behind it—the start is still yours to make.
How is this different from a new-moon calendar?
A new-moon calendar gives one date to everybody, from the Moon’s phase alone. This reads the Moon, Sun and Mars against your own natal placements, so two people beginning the same month get different days.
Can I check something I already started, for free?
Yes—backtesting past dates costs nothing. Scoring the day you began something that went well is the honest way to see whether the timing reads true for you.

The method

We read four hundred years of transit theory and programmed it into the Kalendom astrology engine.

Of everything astrology contains, one tradition exists to answer a single question: when. The Kalendom engine encodes that tradition whole—four centuries of transit doctrine, rule by rule, source by source—and turns it into something anyone can read: a 0–100 score for love, money, work and energy, every single day.

  • 1,460

    scores in your year ahead

365 days × love, money, work, energy

  • 10 × 5 × 12
