Taurus
April 20 – May 20 · Earth · Fixed · ruler Venus
Taurus rewards patience. Venus and the 2nd house drive the strongest activations—the kind you feel as steady gain.
What's in Taurus
Nothing is in Taurus at the moment—the sign is empty, which is the ordinary state for most signs most of the time.
Every planet's sign todayTaurus season, to the day
Taurus season next runs 20 April to 21 May. Those are real crossings, computed from the Swiss Ephemeris—the almanac's “April 20 – May 20” is a rounded average, and it is a day out most years.
What touches Taurus in September 2026
Every movement this month that stands in a whole-sign relation to Taurus, with the solar house it falls in. Sky-to-sky aspects are left out: they have no sign of their own, so they stand in no relation to yours.
- Venus enters Scorpio on the 10th, opposite your sign—your 7th house.
- The new moon falls in Virgo on the 11th, trine your sign—your 5th house.
- Mars enters Leo on the 28th, square your sign—your 4th house.
- Mercury enters Scorpio on the 30th, opposite your sign—your 7th house.
What a sign gives the engine—and what it doesn't
Venus rules Taurus, and that matters to the scoring in one specific way—not the way most sun-sign writing implies. Nothing gives Venus extra weight because you are Taurus; the scoring never reads your Sun sign at all. What it does read is the transiting planet’s own condition: a Venus moving through Taurus is in domicile, and our astrology engine counts that contact for more than the same aspect from a Venus with no dignity.
In Taurus, Venus is in domicile and the Moon is exalted; Mars is in detriment, and no planet falls here. Those conditions are the whole of what a sign does to a transiting body in our rulebook—the same dignity table the scoring reads, which is why a transit from a planet in its own sign counts for more than the identical angle from one with nothing here.
Right now Taurus’ ruler, Venus, is in Scorpio, opposite a sign it rules, so it is in detriment and counts for less.
The other thing a sign gives our astrology engine is geometry. Every transit stands in a whole-sign relation to Taurus—conjunct, sextile, square, trine or opposite—and that relation is fixed by the sign alone, so it is computable without knowing anything else about you. The dated lines above are exactly that, and exactly its limit.
Taurus is an earth sign, with Virgo and Capricorn. That is a fact about the sign and not about the scoring: our rulebook has no element term in it at all. The dated list above is computed for Taurus alone, and it comes out different for Virgo and Capricorn—same element, different geometry.
“Taurus, today the universe is on your side.”
Right now the sky holds what it holds—and whether any of it is “on your side” depends on where it lands in your chart, not on your being Taurus. Here is what is actually in the sign, and what touches it this month.
Kalendom is the precise and honest horoscope: it reads your natal chart against the real sky and turns months like this into your exact dates.
What the chart doesn't tell you
Sun-sign astrology is the entry point—it's also the least specific bit. Two Taurus suns born minutes apart in the same city can have wildly different days because their Ascendants (the cusp of the 1st house) sit at different degrees. House placement is where the mainstream horoscope stops and we keep going.
That's why the calculator asks for your birth time. With a real Ascendant, the Kalendom engine maps every transit to a specific house, so "Mars in your 5th" means something concrete for your life rather than a generic Taurus blurb.
Your sign is a personality, not a calendar
Everything above describes what Taurus tends to feel like. None of it can tell you when—two people born three weeks apart are both Taurus and share almost none of the same strong days. Timing comes from a whole chart meeting a moving sky, so here is one being scored against three real months of it.
We build your natal chart with the Swiss Ephemeris, place it in Placidus houses, then score each day by how the transiting planets aspect your chart—per life area, 0 to 100, with the exact reason. It is astronomy applied to your birth chart, not numerology.
The rulebook encodes that tradition whole—four centuries of transit doctrine, written down as rules you can read, not a model that guessed. Read the methodology.
