How the rulebook reads Libra
Venus rules Libra, and that matters to the scoring in one specific way—not the way most sun-sign writing implies. Nothing gives Venus extra weight because you are Libra; the scoring never reads your Sun sign at all. What it does read is the transiting planet’s own condition: a Venus moving through Libra is in domicile, and our astrology engine counts that contact for more than the same aspect from a Venus with no dignity.
In Libra, Venus is in domicile and Saturn is exalted; Mars is in detriment and the Sun is in fall. Those conditions are the whole of what a sign does to a transiting body in our rulebook—the same dignity table the scoring reads, which is why a transit from a planet in its own sign counts for more than the identical angle from one with nothing here.

The other thing a sign gives our astrology engine is geometry. Every transit stands in a whole-sign relation to Libra—conjunct, sextile, square, trine or opposite—and that relation is fixed by the sign alone, so it is computable without knowing anything else about you.
