How the rulebook reads Gemini
Mercury rules Gemini, and that matters to the scoring in one specific way—not the way most sun-sign writing implies. Nothing gives Mercury extra weight because you are Gemini; the scoring never reads your Sun sign at all. What it does read is the transiting planet’s own condition: a Mercury moving through Gemini is in domicile, and our astrology engine counts that contact for more than the same aspect from a Mercury with no dignity.
In Gemini, Mercury is in domicile; Jupiter is in detriment, and no planet falls here. Those conditions are the whole of what a sign does to a transiting body in our rulebook—the same dignity table the scoring reads, which is why a transit from a planet in its own sign counts for more than the identical angle from one with nothing here.
